The editors will assist our book editing department. The work consists of revision of machine translations and editing; Using more of your own language to beautify the stories (modify the sentences and make the texts sound more natural, reader-friendly, and pleasant to read, like an original native novel). This is a home-office-based position. You may reside almost anywhere. Job responsibilities: As an editor, you will spend a great portion of your time reading and editing scripts (mainly novels). Strict deadlines must be met. We are looking for editors who are attentive to details and able to quickly grasp a wide range of topics. *The source scripts are in English and the target language is Indonesian (a good knowlege of both languages is required). How does it work? 1 - The work is not complicated but requires seriousness and concentration. You work where, how, and when you want, as long as you achieve the targets set. Your results will speak for you. 2 - You must be able to edit a minimum of 20,000 words (more or less 15 chapters) per week. 3 - The length of the chapters is variable and can range from 500 to 2000 words or more. 4- Payment : For a start, our payment rate is $3 per 1000 words to be edited. For 40 000 words edited during the month, we offer a performance bonus of 15$. For 80 000 words edited, performance bonus is 35$ For 120 000 words edited, performance bonus is 70$ etc. Note: Word count is based on the raw document that needs to be edited and not on the actual number of words you edit in the document or the total number of words the document will have after edition. Skills: - You must be fluent (native, preferably) in your chosen language (be able to speak and write without hesitation or stumble). - Have a rich vocabulary. - Have a computer with an internet connection and social media apps such as WhatsApp and Telegram both installed on your phone and your computer. - You should also be familiar with the Word and Excel interfaces. They are useful for your work. - Like novels. Note: It s a long-term cooperation and to be recruited, you need to pass some tests.
