1. Introduction

The Know Your Customer (KYC) and Identity Verification Policy ("Policy") of Gigsgen ("Marketplace") is designed to create a trusted and secure online workplace for all users by confirming customer identity through documentation collection. This Policy aims to prevent fraud, money laundering, and the financing of terrorism, in compliance with applicable UK and universal laws. It is important for all Gigsgen members to complete the KYC process to maintain the integrity of the Marketplace. Failure to comply with this Policy may result in account limitations or suspension, and may have legal consequences under relevant laws.

2. KYC Process and Verification

2.1 Becoming Verified by Gigsgen

To become Verified by Gigsgen, users must complete their profile with accurate and verifiable details and submit a valid government-issued ID card. This information is essential for verifying the identity of users and ensuring the security of the Marketplace.

2.2 Consistency of Account Details

The information provided in a user's Gigsgen account must match the name and details on their submitted documentation. Users will be required to confirm their details during the verification process before submitting them for review.

2.3 Consequences of Non-Compliance

If a user fails to become Verified by Gigsgen, the Company may impose account limitations or suspend the account as a security measure. Falsifying identity or providing false documentation is a criminal offense, and Gigsgen may report users engaged in such activities.

3. Identity Verification for Sellers

3.1 Importance of Identity Verification

Sellers are encouraged to verify their identity to establish trust with potential Buyers within the Gigsgen community. Verified sellers also benefit from faster payment processing and quicker resolution of account-related issues and disputes.

3.2 Verification Requirements

To become Verified by Gigsgen, sellers must provide the following information and documentation:

  • Proof of identity by submitting a government-issued photo ID.
  • Completion of the profile by providing all relevant and verifiable details.
  • Proof of address by submitting two different copies of recent utility bills (e.g., electric, gas, water, or phone bills) or a recent bank statement, as and when required.

3.3 Review Process

The Gigsgen Verification Team will review the submitted information and documentation. The review process may take up to 2-3 business days. Users will be notified when the review is complete.

4. Proof of Identity Requirements

4.1 Accepted Forms of Identification

Gigsgen accepts the following government-issued photo identification for identity verification:

  • Passport
  • Driver's License
  • National ID card

4.2 Additional Requirements

For successful verification, users must comply with the following requirements:

  • Provide a high-quality color scanned image or digital photo of the identification document.
  • The identification document must be currently valid and not expired.
  • The document must include a clear photo, signature, name, and date of birth.
  • The document must not be handwritten or altered in any way.
  • Do not crop, adjust colors, or modify the image in any manner.
  • The document must be in English or have an English character set.
  • The name on the ID must match the name entered in the Verification Centre.
  • The ID number must match the ID number entered in the Verification Centre.
